LandLab is a private laboratory near Vicenza, whose mission is the research of innovative products and procedures useful for the agriculture.
Landlab wanted to convert a phytotron (cupboard with light, temperature and humidity kept under control) from neon-light to LED light specific for plant growth.
The phytotron is used to grow plants in a controlled environment so that all plants inside benefit from the same environmental conditions.
We were required to supply LED Lamps able to provide a specific level of photons and a uniform of light distribution over all cultivable surfaces. This was necessary not to alter the conditions inside the phytotron.
After the installation of Ambra LED Lamp AE32 (2 bars of 1200mm and 2 bars of 300mm per floor with a 90W absorption) and a time frame of 10 days the results for salad plants were the following:
- biomass under the LED cultivation is 38% higher (4,39g against 3.18g)
- leaves chlorophyll concentration under the LED cultivation is almost 100% higher (40,6 against 22,58)
From the photo, it can be clearly seen that LED Lamps plants are more robust and less streamlined. At the same time the colur of the leaves is a more intense green. Both these results have been achieved thanks to the high-quality LED solutions by Ambralight and the support of our experienced and skilled technicians.
